Bridal Couture Meets Ecommerce

The ecommerce market saw more action with the launch of, an online portal for premium bridal couture. Vemanya – a Sanskrit word meaning skilful in the art of weaving – provides a bride and her family and friends a choice of stunning wedding wear. Using the finest fabrics sourced from all over India with each piece being hand embroidered using authentic materials, Vemanya epitomises ‘affordable luxury’.

Vemanya has a broad range of dresses available for sale covering every bridal occasion – from stunning saris to royal lehngas and classic anarkalis – Vemanya’s range also includes chic Indo-western wear and bridal sleepwear. In order to make sure that each bride gets a truly customised experience Vemanya allows for personal online stylists and video consultation. The range is also available offline at the Vemanya Design Studio in New Delhi.

The brainchild of Monika Srivastava, Mumbai-based entrepreneur & former media professional and Delhi-based Ritu Tandan who earlier ran the bridal ensemble boutique Ostara, Vemanya is conceived with the vision of offering high-end, made-to-measure garments in a convenient online format.

Vemanya is targeting upscale Indian buyers and NRIs from USA, UK, Canada, UAE and Australia. As part of the launch Vemanya is running a special online contest where the lucky winner will get a classical royal lehenga. The contest is open to women above 20 years of age residing in India, USA, UK, Canada, UAE and Australia.
