Are you a fellow damaged-hair victim? If yes, hi-five! I have been looking for this miraculous recipe to soothe my damaged, frizzy hair for a while now. Living in Delhi, no matter how healthy you eat and how often you wash your hair, pollution and water quality really gets to your skin and hair. With no exception, I have unknowingly fallen prey to this misery.
I have shoulder-length hair and the texture is thin and frizzy. Due to sudden onset of autumn, somehow I am experiencing too much hair fall and fizziness. Nonetheless, I stumbled upon this magic hair mask comprising of coconut oil and honey. Mix one tablespoon of coconut oil (I use the good old Shalimar brand) and one tablespoon of organic honey; heat this sticky paste on low flame for about 1 minute and apply from root to tips and massage your scalp gently in circular motion; please be super gentle here—rigorous massaging can lead to further hair loss and damage of roots. The mask can be applied on dry or wet hair (I prefer dry hair).
Leave the mask for about 30 minutes to 1 hour and wash it off with cold water; you can use a mild shampoo if you want to get rid of the grease. This mask will nourish and moisturize your scalp deeply. Repeat this twice a week to bid farewell to damaged hair.
