Natural Ways to Remove Blackheads

Blackheads are blocked pores in the skin and they mainly occur to people with oily skin. Nobody likes painfully daunting ways to remove blackheads. So I have compiled a list of easy, effective homemade remedies that will help you get rid of these tiny, black dots off your skin. I have tried them out and they did help me bid adieu to blackheads for good!

Oatmeal and yoghurt: a concoction of oatmeal and yogurt is a great remedy to keep blackheads at bay. Mix 2 tablespoons of oatmeal with 3 tablespoons of yogurt and add about 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and olive oil to it; blend well and form a paste. Apply this on the face, leave for 10 to 15 minutes and wash off with cold water.

Tomatoes: peel and mash a small tomato and apply it over affected area and leave it overnight. Wash off your face in the morning with luke-warm water and voila! Tomatoes have natural antiseptic properties that dry up blackheads.

Lemon: squeeze few drops of lemon and add salt to it; stir well and apply on your face (make sure you’ve washed your face before applying this mixture). Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and wash it off.

Toothpaste: apply a thick layer of toothpaste over the blackhead-prone area; leave it for about 30 minutes and wash it off gently with warm water. This works wonders if used for 7 consecutive days.

Baking soda: make a paste of baking soda and water; apply it on the skin and let it dry. Rinse it off with warm water to get a clean face.
