I went for a long day of shopping at DLF City Centre Mall, Gurgaon last week. I walked from shop to shop for almost 4 hours, and by the end of it, I was famished. So, I looked for a coffee shop to drink something cold, and eat a light snack. And guess what, I bumped into this hidden gem called- Mogli’s Coffee.

What is it?

This quaint, little cafe was a love child of two theatre artists, who loved coffee but always struggled to get great ones at equally great prices. The menu had a variety of coffee choices; from freshly brewed ones to handcrafted and hand-beaten ones – options were galore. Now, I love cold coffees. Add a little bit of chocolate to it and I will forever bless you. Therefore, I drank my share of coffee at Mogli’s and I ate some great food too. P.S – this is going to be my go-to option for quick bites, whenever I am at the mall.

What’s the décor like?

The décor is a blend of quirky and chic. As you enter the compact space, you will find a huge mirror with lights embedded on all sides. This mirror will remind you of green rooms at backstage. Did I mention, the café was a brainchild of two theatre artists? Well, that explains it all! The colours are mostly a blend of dark brown, beige and white. The place smells of strong coffee. So, you can either head to Mogli’s with a book to read or perhaps get your laptop to watch a movie and munch alongside.

What should you eat?

You have to try the stuffed garlic bread. It’s a total delish! Also, the crispy chicken wrap was a refreshing bite. It was mildly spicy, crunchy and packed with fresh veggie strips. But, my favourite was the Maggi sizzler – served with potato wedges and garlic bread. This was by far the best masala Maggi served in the quirkiest packaging! Additionally, you could try their pizza samosa, alfredo non-veg pasta, chicken king size burger and pasta salad.

What coffee should you drink?

I loved the Nutella cold coffee. It was just the right mix of strong coffee, chocolate and hints of sweetness. Also, you can try their vanilla coffee and hazelnut coffee amongst the cold beverages. Now, if you are a fan of hot cuppas, do try their handcrafted caramel cappuccino or the kullad cappuccino. Additionally, you can also indulge in milkshakes. The green apple, banana caramel and KitKat crusher are very popular ones!

Verdict:

I will recommend this place to all coffee lovers. The food is great, service is quick, prices are apt and the staff is super sweet too. What else do you need for a good evening?
