A fine-dining buffet restaurant known for its live grills, warm hospitality and great desi food – The Ancient Barbeque Gurgaon is hosting the most happening street food festival until June 4, 2017. Team Potpourri went for a food tasting session and the verdict is 5/5!
What is going on?
If you love to binge on local street food, head to this restaurant today. The chef has curated authentic dishes and flavours from all corners of Delhi. From Gol Gappe and Aloo Tikki to Pav Bhaji and Ram Laddoo, and from Kathi Rolls to Fish Fry, Tawa Chicken and Seekh Kebabs – options are galore. Also, they have some brilliant local beverages being whipped up at live counters like Jaljeera, Ganne Ka Ras, Sattu Ka Sharbat and Belgeri Ka Sharbat (this was a total winner).
What to eat?
We ordered pretty much everything in small portions. Try the Litti Chokha and Tandoori Momos; these were lip-smacking. We also loved the Matar Kulcha, Dahi Bhalle, Tandoori Chicken, Mutton Seekh Kebab, and the Fish Fry. Also, for dessert, we indulged in some Tilli Wali Kulfi and hot Jalebis with Rabri. The food was just out of the world. Thanks, Chef!
We absolutely loved the food and the pricing. However, the best part was, we felt like home. Everyone was attentive, had good knowledge about each dish and the best part was that – everyone wore a warm smile on their faces. I am definitely going back! Also, if you still don’t have any plans for the weekend, we highly recommend you update your planner!
