I went to this plush restaurant on a balmy September afternoon. And I was welcomed by the most talented Bengali Chef ever – Chef Sudipta Saha.
How Did It Go?
This startling all-day multi-cuisine restaurant at the heart of Gurgaon serves amazing buffets. Now, I went there for a food review by lunch hours. Initially, I wanted to take the à la carte route. However, when the Chef insisted he already had planned the course of the meal for me, I went with the flow. And thank God, I did. I had the most satisfying lunch ever.
What Should You Eat?
To start with, we were given some roasted peanuts spiced up with spicy red chillies. Thereafter, we get some baked potato chips to accompany our mocktails. It was yum! For starters, we indulged in some savoury Thai rockfish, mutton Galouti Kebabs with spicy mint chutney and Dahi Ke Kebabs.
Moving on to the main course, we loved the grilled cottage cheese and mutton curry with butter naan. Also, the dessert couldn’t have been more perfect; the chef served us orange flavoured Rasgolla.
What Should You Drink?
Go for the Coco Colada; it is a creamy blend of pineapple juice mixed with coconut cream and a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Now, if you are craving for a spicy mocktail, try their Guava Mary. It is a hot concoction of guava juice, lime juice, a splash of Worcestershire and Tabasco, and some celery salt and black pepper. Well, I told you it was hot! Lastly, do try the Scruples Pink. This drink is made of ginger ale, lime, rock salt, sprite and crushed cumin seeds. This one was a total winner!
You cannot miss the Thai bento box! It has rice, stir-fried beans, kimchi salad and yummy chicken in traditional red Thai curry! This was my favourite part of the meal.
The ambience was super plush, service was prompt, and the food was delicious. It is a must try!
